Kylie Huelsnitz - Owner

Hi! I’m Kylie Huelsnitz, and I’ve spent most of my life in Ham Lake, Minnesota, though I’ve recently moved to Blaine. I’ve been working in veterinary medicine for over five years now. I started out studying veterinary medicine in college but ended up switching gears to become an esthetician. After a while, I realized how much I missed working with animals, so I went back to my veterinary roots.

I have three amazing family dogs—Reno, a Boxer; Bruno, a Pitbull; and Rip, a Black Lab—who I consider my own. Plus, I have a one-year-old German Shepherd of my own named Atlas, who inspired the name for my business, Atlas Pet Care. I got the name Atlas from the book “It Ends With Us” but I also chose it because I’m passionate about travel and thought it fit perfectly with that part of my life.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me reading, watching movies, hiking, or spending time at my cabin up north. Traveling is a huge part of my life, and I love exploring new places and enjoying the great outdoors.

My Goal is to one day open a daycare and boarding facility for not only dogs but for cats as well. I would like to make a place where people and animals of all kinds love to come. In addition to this, my family has worked closely with animal rescues for many years and I would like to start a rescue of my own. A sanctuary for any living animal that needs help.

Animals have always had a place in my life, dogs have been a constant pet in my life since I was young. However, I've had cats, rats, turtles, ducks, fish, and rabbits. While in college I became very familiar with Equine, Exotics, and Farm Animals so I'm well versed in all animals and I look forward to meeting yours!
